No matter
what you drive, from the family sedan to an 18 wheeler, the TailGauge
product line has the right product for you. (Probably the only vehicles we
DON’T design one for are used by NASCAR!) Clients regularly come to us
with their special needs and suggestions, and we are always working on
new products to fit those applications.
Buses, cargo vans or panel trucks:
We make many different system options. The right one for your vehicle depends on your backup warning needs and the type of vehicle you are looking to install it on.
Large Trucks and 18 Wheelers:
The
TailGauge Sensor Bar is likely the product for you. It is designed
specifically to work on 18 wheelers, cargo and cube trucks and other
hauling vehicles. This system works in just about any industrial vehicle
that runs on 12 volts. And its elegantly simple design allows it to be
installed with relative ease.
Patent Pending. Learn more about it.
Installing on Busses:
Our
Model A Industrial, Model AF Industrial and our Sensor Bar systems are all perfect solutions
for busses, depending on your needs. Our survey of bus drivers who use
our products on a regular basis tells us that our systems do a terrific
job in this application. Call us to learn more.
Pickup Trucks:
TailGauge
is popular with pickup truck drivers because we have designed a system
that is perfect for open-bed trucks.
Installing on RV's:
RV owners who
have purchased our product tell us that the TailGauge backup warning
system does a far better job of assisting drivers than do the cameras that
are commonly installed on RV's as an assist. Many RV owner associations
are unaware of any other backup aid option other than the commonly known
camera. While many owners find the camera works well, many do not. Some
complain that cameras don't work well at night, even if a light assist is
installed with it. Others complain that the camera distorts distance,
making it difficult to navigate, regardless of the time of day.
However,
for RV’ers
TailGauge seems to be very good option. Many RV'ers are either switching
to TailGauge as an alternative to the cameras, or are adding it as an
additional backup aid.
Special Installation Requirements:
TailGauge comes with connection cables long enough for installation on most vehicles. However if your installation requires longer cable lengths than those provided check out our
Accessories Page for more information.
