The Model A-F kit includes:

The TailGauge Model A-F uses an Audio Only warning system. It tells you, in
words, how far away your rear bumper is from an obstacle by saying: "12
feet, 9 feet, 6 feet, 4 feet, 5 Feet, 3 Feet, 2 Feet, 1.5 feet, 1 foot,
crash!". The speaker connects to the power unit using a 15-foot cable.

The TailGauge Ultrasonic Backup Warning System’s miniature acoustic sensors
transmit a uniquely modified "narrow beam" signal which can see through fog,
rain, smog or snow, day or night. This signal strikes a solid obstacle in
the path of your vehicle, bounces back to the antenna/receiver and is
instantly identified by the signal microprocessor. The acoustic sensors have
a detection range of up to 12 feet. The sensors can be "aimed" using the
included plastic shims (shown below).

8-BIT SIGNAL MICRO PROCESSOR
The 8-bit microprocessor uses ‘Intelligent Control Software’, incorporating
‘fuzzy logic’, to process the target signal; calculating the distance (or
range) and the closing speed between the host vehicle and the obstacles in
its path. The processor continuously updates this information. If the
processor determines that the existing conditions require precautionary or
corrective action, it will alert the driver.
A Special Note For Pickup Truck Owners
The TailGauge Model A-F is intended for use on passenger vehicles, light vans, mini buses, sport utility vehicles and light trucks with a closed bed. This system is not suitable for heavy trucks, pick up trucks or any other
vehicle where the power unit will be exposed to water. Additionally, it is not intended for use in situations where the sensors may be obstructed or where they may be damaged wither by debris from the vehicle or while the vehicle is being loaded or unloaded.
